DAY 01

Cancun - Puerto Morelos

Pick-up from the intl. Airport Cancun and transfer to your beach-hotel in Puerto Morelos. 

DAY 02

Puerto Morelos

Beach-day to relax after the flight! Optional snorkeling- or scuba diving trip to the second largest barrier reef of the world (for an extra charge).

DAY 03

Valladolid - Uayma - Ik-Kil

Driving from Puerto Morelos to Valladolid; lunch & visit to the cenote Zací + strolling through the picturous city center. 

Short stop at the village square of Uayma with its impressive church. Continue to the hotel bungalows at Cenote Ik-Kil. Great opportunity to swim in the cenote outside the official opening times (without the crowds).

Day 04

Ik-Kil - Chichen Itza - Izamal - Mérida

Those who wish can take another opportunity to swim in the cenote before it opens for public at 9:00.

After breakfast our tour continues to Chichen Itza where we stroll around the pyramid complex.

 On our way to Mérida, we stop by the "Yellow City" of Izamal, which is a World Heritage Site. After lunch in a renowned Yucatecan restaurant we pay a visit to the huge convent and can also climb up to the Kinich Kak Moo pyramid.

 

Check-in at the hotel in Mérida which is located right in the historical center of the city.

DAY 05

Mérida

Day at your disposal for shopping or explorations. Optional activities: city tour by turibus, visiting the market San Benito, strolling down Paseo Montejo Boulevard,... I will provide you with a list of many other suggestions on site.

 

DAY 06

Cenotes de Cuzama - Homun - Mérida

Departure from Mérida to Cuzamá. An original horse-drawn carriage on rails takes us to 3-4 different cenotes. Don't forget your swimsuit! Afterwards lunch in the cute village of Homún. Return to Mérida.

DAY 07

Sisal

Flamingo tour by boat or Kayak through the Mangroves of Sisal. Our experienced local nature guide can answer many questions about the mangroves and their inhabitants. Afterwards we´ll have a delicious ceviche-lunch on site, and we can relax the rest of the day on the beautiful white beach in Sisal. 

Day 08

Uxmal - Campeche

Visiting the Mayan archaeological site of Uxmal with its spectacular "Pyramid of the Magician". 

We then continue to Campeche, the picturesque town at the Golf of Mexico. The historic center with its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture is a must-see, as well as the sunset over the waterfront.

DAY 09

Campeche

After breakfast we visit the impressive Fortress of San Miguel, one of the best-preserved Spanish Colonia fortifications in Mexico. The views from the top of the fort are amazing, and it has a small museum with lots of Mayan artifacts inside the building.

Since we're in the middle of carnival season, we'll have a chance to watch at least one the colorful parades which passes along the boulevard. 

DAY 10

Campeche - Sabancuy - Chicanna Ecovillage

On our way to our next destination in the "deep south" we'll stop for a few hours at the gorgeous beach in Sabancuy.

DAY 11

Calakmul

Today we're going to visit the truly magical archeological site of Calakmul, which is located deep in the jungle, only 35 km (22 miles) away from the Guatemalan border. The great pyramid at the site (Structure 2), is over 45 m (148 ft) high, making it one of the tallest Mayan pyramids with spectacular views.

The surrounding rainforest, the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve, is full of life, and with a little luck we can encounter ocelots, spider monkeys, white-nosed coatis, toucans, colorful wild turkeys, Yucatan black howlers, and sometimes even jaguars. 

On our way back to our Ecolodge hotel we will stop by the unique Bat Cave, which is actually a dried out cenote that shelters one of the largest bat populations of all the neotropical regions.

Day 12

Laguna de Bacalar

Today we'll continue our tour to a truly stunning lake, called the "lagoon of the 7 colors", for its many shades of turquoise and blue water. 

Located in the south of Quintana Roo, Bacalar is a beautiful "Magical Town" with a relaxed atmosphere where you can breathe peace and tranquility.

DAY 13

Bacalar

After breakfast we will embark on a boat trip. On this tour, we can admire the lagoon from the water as we cruise along the Pirate's channel, where we can swim in crystal-clear turquoise water. We'll also pass by Black Cenote and Cenote Esmeralda, as well as the "Bird Island".  

DAY 14

Bacalar - Tulum - Puerto Aventuras

On our way to Puerto Aventuras, we will visit the picturesque archeological site of Tulum, the only Mayan pyramids next to the sea.

DAY 15

Puerto Aventuras - Cancun Airport

Depending of the time of departure of your flight, we will drive you to the airport in Cancun either in the morning or afternoon.
